Thanks for your comments David, as without knowing peoples oppinions it's
difficult to know if we are doing a good job or not. And we know many
people can't use the disk version which is why we also make a carbon copy
of the mag in HTML. Just go to :
http://www.thecrypt.uklinux.net/Online.htm
Then you will be able to read the mag on any computer. And please keep
sending in your comments good/bad as it lets us know if we need to change
anything.
As to the CRM compression, I know the Ferret or the Dungeon
Master would give you a better explanation than I about why we use it for
the disk version, as all I am involved in is making the HTML version of the
mag, but I know that all the original disk magazines were made using only
CRM and we have been looking to bring that side of things up to date, but
we need someone to write from the ground up a completely new disk mag
creation system because CRM is the only thing we can use ATM. And yes, we
do know it's out of date.
But I know we will continue to make two versions of the magazine for as long
as people wan't to read our mad whitterings :))))
